what gets saved

For every tip: when it happened, the amount and currency, whether it went through, the name you used, and your Twitch id and name if you logged in. That stays around for bookkeeping.

Your message, the song link, start time and filter are saved too so they can play on stream. Messages get wiped after 90 days.

Your IP address is never saved as is. A scrambled version of it (the scramble changes every day) is kept for 30 days to stop spam and card testing, then deleted.

There's a daily backup copy of all this, and backups are kept for 14 days, so something that got wiped can sit in a backup for up to two more weeks.

what never gets saved

Card numbers. The card boxes belong to PayPal, so your card goes straight to them and never touches this site. This site doesn't keep your email or billing address either, or anything from your PayPal account. If you log in with Twitch, the login token is thrown away as soon as your name is read.

cookies

Two, and only if you log in with Twitch: a login cookie that lasts 30 days, and a 10 minute one while the Twitch login is happening. There's nothing else on here, no analytics or ads.

PayPal

PayPal handles the payment itself, under PayPal's own privacy notice.

what's public

Top tippers only counts tips sent while logged in with Twitch, plus older tips from Streamlabs. It shows your name, your total and your Twitch profile picture. A tip sent with keep me off top tippers checked doesn't count toward it. On stream your name, amount and message can show up.
